Here's a few
suggestions that I found interesting.
If the ballot issue is stated in a way that plays on
your emotions, vote NO!
Just vote NO on everything, it will maintain the
status quo. There is another election in two
years.
I suggest a NO vote on anything with vague wording. If
you cannot tell who, what, when, where, why, how, or how much, just tell them
NO.
There
are two issues I strongly recommend for a NO vote:
Amendment 79,
which removes the (Colorado) Constitutional ban on our tax money paying for abortions and removes a parental-notification
requirement passed by voters in 1998.
Proposition 131,
Rank Choice Voting would eliminate Party primaries and therefore require everyone to do their own research on each
candidate to determine which ones match best their own values and convictions. Alaska,
which already has rank choice voting, had 47 candidates on the primary ballot in the
last US legislative race. Additionally, this change in voting procedure would cost
the Colorado taxpayers millions of dollars.
